In Korean cosmology, Ungnyeo — the bear-woman — did not enter the cave to be broken. She entered to be transformed. One hundred days in the dark, garlic and mugwort, no light. She emerged not diminished but remade. Sovereign.
Mago, the primordial grandmother of Korean creation, did not offer comfort. She offered the staff. And she did not extend it — she waited for you to take it yourself.
